I don't think I've ever seen dozens of words in one hyperlink like that -impressively bothersome to my eyes.

Sam: "I don't like it when people try to tell other people how to run their businesses?" (during the discussion about an industry group)

Except when it comes to cable companies and the music business? :-b
  • Sam Harrelson · 1 year ago
I'm not telling the cable companies or music industry how to run their businesses. The market is doing that, Mr. Corporate Socialist.
  • Shawn Collins · 1 year ago
    Thieves are not "the market."

That's not what McCain said when he took Charles Keating's money.
  • Shawn Collins · 1 year ago
I think you're confused - that was Obama taking Rezko's money.
  • Sam Harrelson · 1 year ago
Now you have something wrong with people taking money if they've done
nothing wrong? You really have become a socialist. Rush would be very
    disappointed in you.

Rezko was found guilty on sixteen counts of corruption. Of course his dealings with Obama were on the up and up.

    Let's save it for RedHatBlueHat.

Dude the movie is all about ARGs and fan incubation. :P

Great Podcast...I would stick to "issues" and avoid "people" who are trying to get attention. It is tempting but why bother?

Nice chat...I think the industry association we absolutely need should be like a lobbying group that protects the interests and participants in affiliate marketing, the merchants and affiliate marketers, from things like regulations and taxes imposed from the outside. To include everyone influential in all of performance-based marketing would be a room of hundreds. The meeting seemed like more of a local chapter meeting in reality but nonetheless very needed that we have some organization or organizations to discuss and deal with issues relating to affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is now a world-wide phenomenon much bigger than any single forum or conference. Nobody owns, controls or represents the entire industry or even webmasters in general. In fact there are numerous excellent webmaster/seo/affiliate forums i.e. Digital Point, 5staraffiliates, Sitepoint, Affiliates4u and other great conferences like Adtech and Webmasterworld that heavily represent the industry. There are many influential people in affiliate marketing that would inevitably be "left out" of any small affiliate organization...I think most would be pleased an organization existed and support it. All in all, this was a great first step toward a formal organization and should be looked at only as that...it drew a lot of attention to the issue and hopefully can result in a great organization, maybe even multiple organizations if that’s what needs to happen...I would support it in any way possible.

Damn... listened way late this evening and that sweet, sweet prize is probably gone. Suck!

The real way to enter should have been to say what Sam said AFTER the out-tro song lol
